What do I need to bring for overnight boarding?
- Food
You can either prepackage your pup’s food or bring it in a baggie or container as we have measuring cups to correctly portion your pup’s meals. We also have refectories for wet or special blend meals. - Treats
If you would like for your pup to have treats or chew bones. Please bring them with you. (Due to allergies or other medical issues, it is our policy that we do not give any of our guest’s treats unless they are provided by the owner.) - Bedding
Hound Around Resort will provide a cot and bedding to each of our guests. For sanitary reasons, we ask that you DO NOT send beds or blankets. - Medication
Please do not forget to send medications or supplements with your pup while boarding. We will have you fill out a medication form to ensure your dog is given the correct dosage at the correct time.
Boarding take-home information
- Water
While at Hound Around Resort your dog received access to unlimited water in the play areas, as well as in their boarding suite. However, it is still likely they will seem very thirsty upon returning home. This is a common reaction to the excitement of being back at home. We suggest holding water until they have calmed down from the excitement of being home. Dogs that drink too much water too quickly may lead to vomiting or sickness. - Food
During their boarding stay, your dog was fed at approximately 6 am and 5 pm. A third feeding was given at 12 pm if you requested one. Again, they will be very happy to be home and quite excited. Similar to the effects of drinking water too quickly, eating too quickly may cause illness. - Rest
Hound Around Resort is a very active environment, with the do·gs interacting for several a day. Even if your dog did not run all day, simply being awake can make them very, very tired. We recommend that you allow your pup to get plenty of rest upon returning home.
